The Inner Ring Road Project!

The Inner Ring Road project is the second project, of 110 MC, set and for this piece of work have to create and document a character and a journey for this character to go on. The journey itself has to start from any part of the Coventry Ring Road and end up in the foyer of the Ellen Terry. The documented journey has to be, at most, 4 minutes long and can consist of all still images, but moving image is used there has to be still images incorporated also.

110 MC Cabinet Of Curiosities!

The first piece of work for 110 MC was for us, in groups, to create completely new cabinets of curiosities, for a made up character. We had to use all the aspects of own cabinets, the ideas of their likes and dislikes, as well as this we had to create a back story for this character which had to involve his family and friends, interesting things that had ever happened to this character, where they are in life at the moment and also try to incorporate still image that we have created ourselves.

The fist decision that, as a group, we knew we would have to make was to come up with a name for our character. We knew that we wanted to keep this fun and interesting, so once we had deliberated over many different names and suggestions give by all the group members, we finally decided on  the name ‘Jebadiya Jones’. From this it seemed that everything else sort of fell into place, once we had the name it became easier to image, not only what he looked like, but also what where his hobbies, likes, dislikes, his friends and family and also any major events that have changed his life. In doing this i certainly realised that just from knowing a persons name it can then help you form a complete assumption of that person/ character thus helping you create their back story.

Family: Martin Jones (Father), Janet Jackson (Mother), Julie Jones (Sister) and Aldo Jones (his adopted soon), also Patrick Brush (his brother-in-law)

Likes: All different forms of Art, Architecture and his favorite film is Titanic (1997)

Dislikes: Poverty and all wrong doing in the world.

Back story: After his parents had died at a young age, he was cared for by his older sister, all through out school he never really performed to his full potential, finally this culminated   in him dropping out of school. After this he led a bit of a tear away life until one day when he was visiting his parents grave he finally realized what he truly wanted to do with his life. So he rounded up all the money he owned and joined a Christian help organisation which is station in Africa. After being there for many years and helping hundreds of children, one day he came across a young boy by the ame of Aldo, the young boys family had all died, so Jebadiya knowing in his heart that it was the right thing to do, adopted the young boy as his son.
